There is nothing quite like the look of near-mirror polished copper.   Unfortunately, most architectural components and tubing are not available in solid copper.  So what to do?  Well, state-of-the-art plating technology permits high-quality finishing that rivals the look of solid copper and in many respects is superior when used for foot rails and other architectural components.  However, many companies produce copper-like finishes using powder coatings or by applying copper plating over inferior substrates.  So what does all this mean?

While a good powder coated finish is attractive and durable (we do many types of powder coating), there is no powder coating process that provides the look of real copper.  Also, copper-plating over many types of inexpensive metals results in a less than ideal finished product.

Our real copper-plated tubing and fittings are finished over solid brass to provide a look that is rich, deep, distinctive and durable.  The difference is not just noticeable, it is dramatic.  Our polished copper-plated foot rails and other products have a smooth, mirror look that is virtually indistinguishable from solid copper.  Because it is real copper, it is a living finish and there are a number of options available depending on how you want it to age.

If you would like the finish to patina, we can leave it polished but raw without any coating.  Alternatively, the finish can be protected with a lacquer or clear powder coat.  We even offer a UV inhibitor for exterior applications.

Polished Copper will enhance the look of any foot rail, hand rail, partition post or any of the other hundreds of products we offer.  If you like the look of Copper but would prefer something with a satin finish, consider our Antique Copper or Satin Copper.
